About BCDC
Mission Statement
The Berea Community Development Corporation seeks to create and expand economic opportunity throughout Berea by implementing business and neighborhood development and planning activities to support and create sustainable jobs. The BCDC enhances the business climate by providing the attraction of industries in our community and works to develop programming for residents while having a grass roots approach. Working together with the City, we will develop and provide a climate conducive to maintaining the quality of life in Berea.

The BCDC Engages In The Following Activities:

Encourage businesses from outside the City of Berea to relocate within the City.
Monitor the real estate market, mortgage and insurance industry.
Oversee programs that assist Berea residents in seeking job placements in businesses within and outside the City of Berea.
Establish procedures and referrals to respective County placement agencies to promote job placement of Berea residents.
Provide government grant applications and effective long range planning coordination.
Maintain database of building inventories, available sites and buildings, area businesses, and other information for economic development purposes.
Resource for Berea on utilities, taxes, zoning, transportation, community services, financing tools, etc.
Site developer for perspective retailer's citywide, including commercial, industrial, and retail.
Provide planning for Neighborhood, District, Comprehensive Citywide and Downtown Plans.
Resource for conservation, livable communities, manage growth and social and economic well-being.
